Charles Yarton

Charles Yarton was born July 20, 1928, in Rochester, NY. During WW2, he served in the United States Navy. He served on the USS Valley Forge. In 1952, he married Peggy Stearns. Charles had a 35 year career in law enforcement.

Survivors include his daughter Holly Grabow (Michael); son Stephen Yarton (Karin); daughter-in-law Jenny Yarton; seven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and one great grandchild to be.

Funeral Arrangements will be held at 11:00 am, June 28th, at Young’s Funeral Home. Following the funeral service, Charles will receive military honors and be laid to rest with his wife at Willamette National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Vision Gift, located at 2201 SE 11th Ave, Portland, OR 97214.
