Clyde was born on July 1, 1939 in Kansas City, MO to Clyde and Genevieve (Ervin) Bloxton. When he was seven years old, the family relocated to Kennewick, WA, where Clyde was educated. After serving his country honorably in the Marine Corps, Mr. Bloxton moved to the Beaverton area, where he worked as a plate maker for a number of printing companies, retiring in 2000.
In May 1999, he and Leslie Stacy were united in marriage in Hillsboro. They spent their 14 years together enjoying each other’s company, whether watching movies and TV, going out to dinner, shopping, or raising Siamese show cats.
Clyde is survived by his wife Leslie Bloxton of Aloha and Leslie’s daughter Shawn McDonald of Beaverton;
daughter Chantel McCrea and husband Errol of Hillsboro;
stepsons Chad Stacy and wife Ruth of England, and Todd Hoodenpyl and wife Kelly of Tillamook;
and by 8 grandchildren.
A graveside service with honors will take place at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland on Thursday, October 17 at 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Young’s Funeral Home in Tigard. The family would be grateful for donations in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
