DeeAnn Victoria Gibbons

DeeAnn, age 59, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. DeeAnn was born in Portland, Oregon to Richard and Rose Gibbons. She graduated from Sherwood High School and attended Portland Community College and higher education in California studying accounting and computer science.

DeeAnn was an avid reader, loved gardening, camping and riding her 3-wheeled ATV, especially around Sand Lake and nearby beaches. She treasured her role as “Auntie” to all her nieces and nephews and was always there for them as they grew up; being with them was one of her most enjoyable events. DeeAnn was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and she enjoyed kicking up her heels line dancing.

DeeAnn had a long and successful career with Paragon Computers and as a Senior Accounting Technician with Oregon City. She wrote computer programs and had a keen ability to use her photographic memory to enable great success in her work.

DeeAnn is survived by her beloved siblings Emanul Gibbons (Nancy), Evelyn Martinson, Margaret Norman (Bill), Sylvester Gibbons, Marvin Gibbons (Debbie), Gary Gibbons, Cathy Warner (Dan) and Michael Gibbons (Susan) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a brother Jerome Fitzgibbons, and her parents Richard and Rose Gibbons.

A funeral service for DeeAnn will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014, 11:00am, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Canby, Oregon, with a luncheon reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in DeeAnn's name to the American Cancer Society or other worthwhile charities and can be made c/o St. Patrick Catholic Church.
