

Doris Irene Mardock was born in Three Hills, Alberta Canada on October 2nd, 1920 to Gladys and Thomas Gilbert. Doris passed away from advanced pneumonia under hospice care at her grandson’s home in Kent Washington on June 19, 2016, at the age of 95. She is survived by her sons, Edward L Mardock of Terrebonne Oregon, and James G Mardock of Tualatin Oregon, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Thomas A Mardock and her husband C. Loren Mardock.
Doris was married to C. Loren Mardock on June 9th in 1943, in Coronado California, moving soon to the Portland, Oregon area. Over the next several years she gave birth to three sons of whom she was very proud. Doris worked in the local school cafeteria and became very involved in her local Eastern Star organization. Doris also enjoyed gardening at her farm in Canby, Oregon, fishing the Columbia River, rock hunting pretty much anywhere, feeding the birds, and sunbathing in her winter lodging in Quartzsite Arizona. She had a soft soul and a kind heart, and will be missed by many.
Graveside service will be held Friday June 24, 2016 at 1pm in Belcrest Memorial Park at 1295 browning Ave S, Salem Oregon. There will be a reception following. Donations in lieu of flowers would be welcome to the Knight Cancer Institute, in honor of her decades of Eastern Star membership; or to Camp Tilikum at www.camptilikum.org
