Dorothy was a loving wife and wonderful mother, grandmother and sister, offering love, laughter, and loyalty to those closest to her. Her marriage was a beautiful example of partnership, and her bond with her sister was filled with fond memories, and unconditional support.
Dorothy fiercely loved her family and found her greatest joy in watching them grow. She rarely missed a game, party, or special event and was always there, cheering on her family and showing how much she cared. Her presence was a constant source of encouragement and warmth in the lives of those she loved.
She loved going to the beach with her family, where they spent quality time together and created lasting memories. Holidays were her favorite time, especially Christmas Eve, when her home was filled with laughter and the comforting aroma of her famous pasta and sauce—a cherished tradition her family will continue in her honor.
Blessed with a sharp mind and keen memory, Dorothy remembered everything she read and heard. She was a wise and thoughtful listener, always ready with kind words, heartfelt advice, and a gentle presence. Her door—and heart—were always open.
Dorothy leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished traditions that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that a donation be made in Dorothy’s name to the charity of your choice. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 at 10:00 am, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Portland. A private Committal for the family will be held that afternoon at Willamette National Cemetery, where Dorothy will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Joseph.
