Eva Lorraine Sweeney of Tigard, Oregon passed away on February 7, 2017. She was born in Jessie, North Dakota to Hobert and Anna Pearson on August 29, 1927. Her childhood was spent in North Dakota with her brother, Howard and sister, Catherine. Eva earned a degree in teaching from Valley City College and taught in Casselton, North Dakota where she met her husband, Wallace Sweeney, also a school teacher. Eva and Wallace had eleven children together.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace, her grandson Cameron Matthew, and her daughter Colleen. She is survived by her sister, Catherine Klinkhammer (Bob); her children; Tracey, Patrick, Carey, Stephen, James, Anne, David, Elizabeth, Jeffrey, Sean; twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at on Thursday, February 16th at 10 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigard.
