Evelyn Louise Willumsen

Evelyn Willumsen, 96, of Missoula MT passed away Wednesday, August 19th, 2026 peacefully at home in Beaverton, OR. She was born in Plentywood, MT on December 28, 1929, the daughter of Sophus and Hannah Morstad.

She attended school in Plentywood, MT and business school is Billings, MT. Evelyn married Lloyd “Bud” Willumsen on July 15, 1948. She worked at Western Montana Bank in Missoula. They owned and operated Lincoln Street Laundry and Dry Cleaners for many years, the first coin operated laundromat in Missoula.

Evelyn was a beautiful example of love, kindness and contentment. No matter what life brought her way, she met it with a positive heart, a kind word and that smile with rosy cheeks that so many will remember. She was a true servant at heart. She gave of herself freely and never seemed to ask for anything in return. Her faith was evident by how she lived her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd of over 66 years of marriage; her parents, Sophus and Hannah; three sisters, Bernice, Boletta and Dora; and three brothers, Arvid, Waldo and Willard.

She is survived by her 4 children, Phil of Ahsahka, ID, Mike (Lori) of Missoula, MT, Wanda (Everett) Reynolds of Missoula, MT, and Myrna (Gordon) Hoversland of Beaverton, OR; 9 grandchildren: Scott, Mandy, Mollie, Nathan, Jay, Justin, Cody, Rachel and Michelle; and 10 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be Friday, October 16th at 11am at Youngs Funeral Home 11831 SW Pacific Hwy. Tigard, OR 97223 with a luncheon to follow, all are welcome.

A memorial service in Missoula, MT will be at a later date.
