She worked in Union Train Station in Portland during the World War II era where she met William “Bill” Frederick and they were married on December 7, 1947. They were married until his death in 1986.
She became a third grade teacher in Portland. She was active with the Fleet Reserve and the Sisters of the Eastern Star as both her and Bill actively supported the Shriners Hospital organization for many years.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. All of us who knew her will miss her very much, and are richer for the time we spent with her.
Services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at the Tigard United Methodist Church.
