Frank Hallett Porter was born January 25, 1925 in Farmer City, Illinois (before the doctor arrived!). He finished high school in South Bend, Indiana. He lived in Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana and Oregon.
Frank served 3 1/2 years in the 13th Airborne Ordinance Company. He was in the trucking business in Michigan for 6 years and a mechanic for Clackamas County for 30 years.
Frank moved to Oregon in May 1952. He married Marcia Harwood on September 26, 1952. He built two homes for her and their son Timothy.
Frank lost his beloved Marcia in February 1993.
A memorial service for Frank will be held on Sat. Jan. 26, 2019 at 3:00pm at Wilsonville Holiday Inn, 25425 SW 95th Ave. Wilsonville, OR 97070. A private interment will be held at Pleasant Hills Cemetery in Sherwood and arrangements were made in the care of Young's Funeral Home of Tigard.
