

Gavin K.P.B. Gambone, born on June 13, 1993, in Kealakekua, Hawai’i, passed away on June 22, 2024, in Tigard, Oregon. He graduated from Konawaena High School and attended the University of Hawai’i at Manoa for two semesters.
Gavin was known for his kind and caring nature, complemented by a wonderful sense of humor. He cherished the time spent with friends, family, and animals. His adventurous spirit meant he never shied away from a dare. A devoted father to his son Jesse, Gavin was also an excellent brother to Geronimo, Justin, and Lucas. His feats of strength and selflessness were legendary among those who knew him, and his winning smile and loyalty won him the affection of many. He was a romantic at heart, with a deep love for reggae music, especially Bob Marley. He was a lover of all sports and proficient in any he tried, especially soccer.
An avid soccer player and Manchester United fan, Gavin also contributed as an AYSO coach for his younger brothers’ soccer teams, sharing his passion and sportsmanship.
Gavin leaves behind his mother Yenika, father Guy, son Jesse, brothers Geronimo, Justin, and Lucas, grandmothers Viki and Dawn, great grandmother Martha, and numerous other family members. He is also remembered by Jesse’s mother, Julia, and a wide circle of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held in Hawai’i, with details to be announced soon, honoring a life that brought immense joy and love to all who were part of it.
