

Glenda Rae Nyman of Billings, peacefully passed away to be with her Lord on Friday, October 22, 2010, surrounded by her daughters. She had battled multiple illnesses over the past two years. Born on December 13, 1934 in Beulah, North Dakota, Glenda was the daughter of Alice and Eldon Shirley. The family moved to Montana where she graduated from Billings Senior High in 1952. She was the president of the Activity Club, National Honor Society and was a Worthy Advisor in Rainbow. In 1956, Glenda earned a B.S. in Commercial Science from Montana State University. Soon after, she married Derry Brodsack, sharing 14 years and 3 children with him. Glenda was employed by Billings Vo-Tech Center for 25 years where she taught business classes before retiring in 1994. She and William Nyman were married in 1982. They enjoyed 19 years of marriage until his death in 2001. Together they traveled, spent days at the family cabin on the Stillwater River, worked on home improvements and loved their children and grandchildren. Glenda leaves behind 2 sisters, 3 daughters, 12 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren, plus her best friend and dance partner Robert Milne. A service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30th, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Billings on 2800 4th Avenue North. Please no flowers or gifts, but a note of remembrance would be appreciated.
