Jim was born in May of 1938 to Emmett and Erma Steere in Woodland, California. He graduated from Armstrong College and served for the Navy Seabees. He then went on to a career at IBM until he retired.
Jim enjoyed camping with friends and family, watching war and western movies and talking about cars.
Jim is survived by his wife Nora Steere and his two children Jeff (Debbie) Steere and Jody (Aaron) Stanley, and his granddaughter Anna Stanley.
At his request no service will be held.
