

They moved to Kemmerer, Wyoming where he graduated from high school and enlisted into the U.S. Navy during World War II.
After the war ended and he was discharged, he moved to Portland, Oregon where his family was now residing.
He went to the University of Portland, where he met Lura Dell Hall and they were married in 1952. He and his wife owned and operated The Barlow Trail Inn in Welches, Oregon for years. He taught for over 25 years, beginning at Estacada, Oregon and then Sandy, Oregon where he taught and was a principal there. He finished his career as superintendent at Welches School District.
He and wife traveled a lot and were avid gardeners. They retired to Springridge at Charbonneau, in Wilsonville, Oregon and remained there until his death on April 30, 2013.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lura Dell, his sister, Helen Clark, nieces, Kathleen and Leslie Clark, nephew, Stuart Clark, and grandnieces, Emily and Abigail Clark.
At his request, there will be no services. Remembrances can be made to the University of Portland School of Nursing.
Private burial be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
