J.D. was born in Portland, OR on February, 5th 1955. He lived his first few years in Tigard until his family moved to the Cipole area of Sherwood in the late 50’s.
After graduating from Sherwood H.S. in 1973 he joined his father, John Sr. in the sand and gravel business started by his grandfather Paul Hagg in 1925.
J.D.s family inspired a lifelong passion for the outdoors, working with his hands, and collecting.
J.D. leaves behind his wife Denise, daughters Joanna, Aubrey, Aden (Derek), five grandchildren and his siblings Jan (Bruce), Jeri, Jenny and Jeff.
