Many years ago I bought a Count Basie record with a tenor sax solo which struck me right in my heart and soul. I tried to find out who played that solo: a saxophone player I did not know  then: Kenny Hing. Such an inspiration to me, that this was the start of playing the saxophone myself as an amateur. After a while I carefully learned to play Kenny’s solo. His music stayed and grew with my life during the years. Now being older myself I still like to play Kenny’s music, which inspired and made me happy then and it still does. Thank you Kenny, for being such a happy influence and inspiration to me. It makes me sad finding out that you are not here anymore. But your music stays alive. My sincere condolences to your family. Peter van Raak, the Netherlands.
