Kevin Ray Allen

February 9, 1965 – July 30, 2025
Obituary of Kevin Ray Allen
IN THE CARE OF

Young's Funeral Home

With great sadness to his family, Kevin Ray Allen passed away suddenly on July 30th from heart failure at the age of 60.

Kevin was born February 9th, l965 in Roseburg, Oregon to Frances and Willis Allen becoming the youngest of five siblings. He moved to Aloha, Oregon at a young age and attended Mountain View Intermediate and Aloha High Schools.

Kevin started in the restaurant business during high school working in the kitchens doing everything from washing dishes to helping with prep. Over the years he worked his way up to be the Sous Chef at some of the major restaurants and hotels in the Portland metro area. He loved researching new cooking ideas and trying new recipes.

In 1994 he married Jeanette Helen Wood. They divorced in 2004.

In his younger years he became quite the BMX racer in the Portland and surrounding areas. Later on in his spare time he enjoyed going to the races around the northwest and watching the younger BMX racers advance. He also enjoyed playing his many guitars with friends and riding his Kawaski Vulcan motorcycle during the summer that he called his BIG JOY…

He was on disability the last few years due to congestive heart failure and this last year was able to work part time at Lowe’s in Tigard. He was a humorous guy who had a knack of telling stories about his daily encounters with others, be they human or animals.

He loved his family and friends and his precious Lhasa Apso’s Sonny and Cher.. He was preceded in death by his father Willis, mother Frances and older brothers Clarence and Kenneth. He is survived by his two older sisters, Gertie Curcio and Carol Early, nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.. May he rest in peace.. A private service was held.
