

Lebert “Lee” Sylvester Wilson was born November 11, 1913, in Newberg, Oregon, to Albert Eugene Wilson and Celesta Finley Wilson. Lee was married in 1938 to Lottie Foe. During World War II he worked in an essential civilian job doing electrical work and installing radar in American Liberty ships and British ships. He managed retail lumber yards for McCready Lumber Company and other lumber corporations until his retirement in 1976. Lee is predeceased by his wife Lottie and his siblings Homer Wilson, Gayford Wilson, Alden Wilson, Reynold Wilson, Gertrude Wilson Chalmers, and Wilma Grace Wilson Chalmers. He is survived by his brother Curtis Wilson; daughter Louise Hodapp (Frank), son Gordon Wilson; grandchildren Gretchen Chasteen and Kristin Wilson. After Louise’s marriage to Frank, Lee enjoyed four more grandchildren: Philip Hodapp (Jeannette), Julie Hodapp, Diana Hodapp, and Monica Turnbaugh (Donald), as well as great-grandchildren Noah Wilson, Sophie Chasteen, Micaela and Ben Pierce, and Isaac Hodapp. A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Portland Friday, November 19, 2010, at 2 pm.
