Linda Jett

Linda was born in Sunnyside, Wash. on Sept. 1, 1948 to George and Gladys Rogers. She earned her Bachelor’s in Education from Linfield College and Master’s in Library Science from Portland State University.

She was married to Robert Bolton Burk from 1970-1974 and gave birth to daughter Jennifer in 1971. In August 1979 she married James Norman Jett and in 1980 gave birth to son Michael. They lived in Newberg, Ore. for 34 years until semi-retiring to Netarts on the Oregon coast.

Many know Linda as a talented licensed massage therapist, which she practiced for nearly 40 years. In retirement, she focused on her passion for writing and was published in numerous anthologies and periodicals. Linda will be remembered by friends and family for her steadfast faith and generous spirit.

She is survived by husband Jim; children Jennifer (Burk) Bolen and Michael Jett; and grandchildren Fiona, Kell and Danny.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 2 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Nazarene in Tillamook, Ore.; and Saturday, April 9 at 4 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Tigard, Ore.
