Loretta was an extraordinary woman—a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother whose family was the heart of her world. She found joy in life’s simple moments: laughter shared around the dinner table, the beauty of the changing seasons, and time spent with those closest to her. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched everyone she met.
A respected professional in the mental health community, Loretta dedicated her career to helping others through both inpatient and outpatient care. As a compassionate and insightful social worker, she possessed a deep understanding of the issues that affected her patients and community.
Loretta’s journey was one of perseverance and purpose. After losing her parents at a young age, she was lovingly raised by her grandparents. In 1979, she moved to Oregon to pursue her graduate degree and went on to build a life in the Pacific Northwest—a place she grew to love for its mountains and coastal beauty, especially the seaside towns of Depoe Bay and Newport.
Loretta is survived by her devoted husband and her beloved children, Brett, Ally, and Casey. Those who knew her will remember her for her generous heart, her steady encouragement, and her remarkable ability to make others feel seen and valued. Whether offering a listening ear, a warm meal, or a comforting word, she had a gift for making people feel cared for.
Her legacy lives on through the family she so deeply cherished and the countless memories she created with them. Loretta will be forever
missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
A celebration of Loretta’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1st. At Jenkins Estate, 8005 SW Grabhorn Ave. Beaverton, OR 97007 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day—unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear.”
