

She was born in Mitchell, South Dakota on December 17, 1922 and was raised in Artesian, South Dakota. Lucille graduated from Artesian High School as a valedictorian. She then went on to study secretarial science at Dakota Wesleyan University.
She married Hugh Walter Brisbane on May 27, 1951. Lucille had secretarial positions in Salem and Portland. She was also a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Beaverton and The Eastern Star. She had a passion for baking and even had her own baking certificate for “Lucille’s Blue Ribbon Pies.” She won multiple prizes and ribbons for her award winning pies, specializing in lemon meringue pies.
Survivors include her son, Scott Brisbane; stepchildren, Dianne Syverson and David Brisbane; grandchildren, Michelle, Amy and Erik; and sister, Marcia.
A public viewing will take place on Friday, September 15th from 3-7 pm at Young’s Funeral Home. A funeral will take place on Saturday, September 16th at 1:00 pm at Young’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, the American Red Cross, or a charity of your choice in Lucille’s memory.
