Margaret Laird Hart Clare

Margaret Laird Hart Clare passed away on October 16, 2010. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland on May 3, 1945. Margaret worked in the healthcare industry as an executive administrator. Margaret was an avid golfer and her hobbies included bowling, traveling and enjoying time with her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by husband Derek Anderson Clare; siblings, her twin sister Mary McCluskey, Ann Wood, Peter Hart, David Hart; her children, Jennifer Clare Pike (Thad Allan Pike) and Derek J. Clare (Tamara Zolnikov-Clare); grandchildren Kelsey Meghan Nadeau, Brittany Clare Nadeau, Matthew John Pike, Jacob Allan Pike, Taylor Ann Pike, Madison Clare Pike, Justin Ryan Clare; and many Scottish nieces and nephews. Margaret and Derek were married in Glasgow, Scotland. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Canada and ultimately they settled in Beaverton, Oregon, where happily they found the lifestyle and climate similar to their homeland of Scotland. A memorial service will be held at Young’s Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 22, 2010.
