OBITUARY

Mary Louise Banks

June 15, 1932February 6, 2012

Our dear mother, Mary, Louise Banks, was placed in God's hands on February 6, 2012.

Mary's passion was sewing. She designed and made a 7-pocket purse, and received orders from as far as Florida. She also loved to shop, visit coffee shops, and all animals, except snakes! She enjoyed camping, and loathed doing dishes.

Her cinnamon rolls could have won her 1st place in any baking contest.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Banks. She is survived by two sisters; Sandy Schmoller and Claudia Lawson, as well as three children; Doug Banks, Linda Poulson and Kathleen Ewart; four grandchildren, Brian and Cole Banks, Emily and Sam Poulson; two great-grandchildren; Mackenzie and Troy. She also leaves behind her cat companion, "Precious".

Arrangements under the direction of Young's Funeral Home, Tigard, OR.

My Aunt Mary came for a visit after my Mother passed (Her sister Leta) and as she was leaving she said" I came to spend time with my sisters daughter and leaving knowing a beloved niece"
I loved her very much!

Please accept my sympathy on Mary Lou's passing. The pictures are wonderful and the part about snakes made me laugh. I remember when she and Carl visited us in Crow shortly after we moved there. Leah, Sandra, and I had been out playing and started catching snakes. Your folks showed up and we wanted to share our "surprise". Mary Lou wouldn't get out of the car and Carl had to take her home. Needles to say, subsequent visits from Carl and Mary Lou didn't involve any snakes. She was a funny lady and I'm sure you'll miss her very much.

Our very sincerest condolences to Doug, Linda, and Kathy and their families on the passing of Mary Lou. Mary Lou was one of a kind and one great card player. Russ and I spent many hours playing "Blitz" and pinochle with them. The evenings were always full of joke-telling and laughter. She will be missed by all who knew her.
