Matthew Joseph Lempner

Matthew Joseph Lempner, affectionately known as Matt (and Paco to his close friends), passed away on February 24, 2024 at the age of 48 in Tigard, Oregon. He was born to Joseph Arnold and Linda Ann Lempner on January 19, 1976 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Matt is survived by his two children, Elliott and Parker, mother Linda, brother Michael (Carrie), twin brother Thomas (Bridgette), sister Jennifer, and the mother of his children, Robyn Triebold. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Arnold Lempner.

A graduate from Wake Forest University, Matt’s dedication and hard work in the financial industry included an extensive network of resources in tax, investment and business planning with over two decades of financial and consulting experience.

Matt brought instant life to any room he walked into, blessing those around him with his infectious smile, humor, creativity and positive outlook on life. He had a deep passion for music and the outdoors and found great satisfaction in finding creative ways to engage with his kids. Matt was always looking for new adventures to attack head on- whether it was camping out at the mountains, hiking in the gorge, biking in the canyonlands, rock climbing on numerous crags throughout the country… or creating new jams on his guitar and diving into complicated wood-working projects at his home in Tigard. He found ways to stay busy and include those around him in all of these life-changing moments.

Matt’s presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will continue to be a beacon of warmth and joy for all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 1st at 1pm at Young’s Funeral Home in Tigard, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Matt to Serendipity Center in Portland, Oregon.
