Noreen Lee Robbins

June 7, 1927-July 31, 2012

Noreen was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. After her father’s death at the age of 13, she moved to Eugene, then Portland, and graduated from Grant High School. She later married Richard Brown. Noreen then worked for Standard Insurance Company, Napa Auto Parts and then Georgia Pacific in the human resources department while raising her three children. After Richard’s death in 1994, she married longtime friend, Kenneth Robbins in 1997, who was also from Portland. They then moved to Sisters in 1997 where they have lived until Noreen’s passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dorothy McBirnie, brother, Donald Crawford and son, David Brown. Noreen is survived by husband Kenneth, daughters, Kathleen Brown and Cynthia Hinton, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Young’s Funeral Home in Tigard on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11am. A graveside service followed at Crescent Grove Cemetery in Tigard. The family has requested that donations be sent to The Partners in Care Hospice organization, 2705 N.E Wyatt Court, Bend, Oregon 97701.
