Norma Jean Anderson

Norma Jean (Habben) Anderson was born May 17, 1929 in Lake Park, Iowa. She was the youngest of 7 girls born to Charles & Marie Habben. She moved to Seattle, WA in 1947 to be near her sister, Vera. She met her husband, Gunnar Anderson and was engaged 6 weeks later.

They lived a life of adventure, traveled the world with family and friends, enjoyed cruising and Las Vegas where they were given the royal treatment by most casinos!

Norma was an amazing mother and grandmother. She was full of love and her smile was contagious. She was proud of her family who meant the world to her as she did to us.

She was a great friend to many, a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews and loved when they called her Aunt Normie.

Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her and be loved by her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Sven Olaf Gunnar Anderson (d. 2011).

Norma is survived by her daughter, Laurie Jones and son Michael Anderson; grandchildren Kimberly Ehlers, Matthew & Jeffrey Mooney, Jeremy & Justin Anderson; and great grandchildren Maddix, McKayla, Wyatt, Silas, Andrew, Leo, Henry, Trace & Journey.

A memorial service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery, Happy Valley, Oregon May 16th, 2025 at 11:15am.
