She was born in Kuna, Idaho on December 19, 1938. Darlene graduated from Kuna High School and received a bachelor's in Christian education from Omaha Baptist Bible College. She was married to Will Smith on February 14, 1965.
Darlene worked in electronics for Laughlin Wilt Group. She was a memeber of Scholls Community Church, and had a passion for teaching children.
She is survived by children Dave (Amy) and Kurt (Sarah); and grandchildren Veronica and Rebecca.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 1:00PM at Allen Boulevard Baptist Church, Beaverton, Oregon.
