Patricia Jane Bohn

Patricia was born on May 21, 1952, in Silverton, Oregon, to Gordon and Helene Olson. As the eldest of four children, she grew up alongside her siblings, Nancy, Bob, and Anita. Her early years were spent in Molalla and the surrounding rural communities before her family settled in Canby after her father took a position with The Oregonian. Patricia spent the remainder of her childhood in Canby, graduating from Canby High School before attending business school to prepare for a career in administrative work.

She began her career as a secretary at the Clackamas office of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife before transitioning into her most cherished role: raising her children as a devoted, full-time mother. Later in life, her passion for public service inspired her to work in election administration for both Clackamas and Clark Counties—a field where her dedication, care, and strong work ethic truly excelled.

Patricia found great joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She had an endless love for reading, cross-stitching, sewing, baking, playing Scrabble, traveling, relaxing at beaches, tending to her flowers, watching Hallmark movies and true crime, celebrating Christmas, and enjoying anything and everything chocolate. She also had a lifelong affection for angels, filling her home with their quiet, loving energy as a symbol of protection for her family and friends.

Above all, Patricia was a deeply kindhearted and affectionate mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Endowed with a heart of gold, she thrived on the intellectual spark of deep, meaningful conversations with loved ones and new acquaintances alike. Nothing brought her greater happiness than the deep bonds she nurtured with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally and fiercely.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Helene, and her sister, Nancy. She is survived by her children, Tony and Angie; her stepson, Mark; her cherished grandchildren, Griffin, Devin, and Sydney; and her siblings, Bob and Anita.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia’s honor to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center or the American Diabetes Association.
