

Paul Vernon White was born in the small town of Otway, Ohio to Birve and Clara White. He worked alongside his father on the family farm, as well as with his mother and sister, Virginia. He passed away in Portland, Oregon.
Paul enjoyed a successful military career and was proud to have directly served under General Douglas MacArthur in post war Japan after World War II. After his service with the United States Army, Paul attended college. He eventually achieved an accomplished career in Retail Credit Management. After numerous management relocations, Paul and family eventually settled in Portland, Oregon in the 1970s. With his present wife Alice, Paul enjoyed traveling, antiquing and shopping for the best bargain. They always found quality time to spend with family. Paul is survived by his wife Alice White, sister Virginia, step-daughters Teresa (Dan) Diettrich and Brenda Vondross, former wife Sylvia White, son Aaron White, daughters Alisa (Greg) Witkop, Kristina (James) DeMerritt and Serena (Patrick) Mullen, 14 grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. A private family service will be held at the Willamette National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the College of the Ozarks, P.O Box 17, Point Lookout, MO, 65726-9986.
