Paul Ellsworth Williams known as Paulie passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, talent, and memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
For more than 30 years, Paulie was a beloved part of our family. Our son first met Paulie at a local park, and what began as a simple friendship grew into a bond that would last for decades. Paulie had become estranged from his own family, and over the years, our family became his family. Though he may not have had a traditional home, he was never without a place in our hearts.
Paulie was a proud Vietnam veteran and carried with him the experiences of his service throughout his life. He was also a skilled machinist, a trade that reflected his patience, precision, and ability to work with his hands. But perhaps one of his greatest gifts was his talent as an artist. Entirely self-taught, Paulie had a remarkable ability to create beautiful things and express himself through his art.
Paulie had an unforgettable sense of humor and a wonderful way of making people smile. He was loved by everyone who knew him, and his kindness, humor, creativity, and unique spirit touched countless lives.
Paulie is survived by his daughter, Jessi, and by the family he found and who loved him dearly for more than 30 years.
Paulie’s life reminds us that family isn’t always defined by blood. Sometimes, family is the people who choose to stand beside you, share laughter with you, care about you, and love you simply for who you are.
Paulie will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His stories, his artwork, his laughter, and the special place he held in our family will remain with us always.
Rest peacefully, Paulie. You were loved, you were family, and you will never be forgotten.
