Richard A. Pastor

Family was everything to Richard and with that being said he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan D. Pastor. Together they raised two sons, David Andrew Pastor of Las Vegas, Nevada and Brian Joshua Pastor of Tigard, Oregon. They were blessed with four grandchildren: Richard A. Pastor, Diane Pastor, Breanna Brinkerhoff (Pastor), and Cody Pastor. And those blessings also included great grandchildren Demetri and Xander Brinkerhoff.

Richard was a graduate of the first graduating class of what was the new Tigard High School, in 1954. From April of 1957 to April of 1959 he served in the Army. It was while water skiing that Richard met his future wife, Joan. She lost her ski and Richard jumped in to save her. They married on September 16, 1961. Richard supported his family as a cement mason in the construction industry, working with Westside Concrete and Hoffman over the years. He retired in 1990.

The Pastor family will celebrate Richard's life on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Young's Funeral Home in Tigard, Oregon.

Memorial contributions can be made in Richard's name to the Salvation Army and the Oregon Food Bank.
