Rose Marie Santmyer

Marie Santmyer was born in Seattle Washington March 1, 1944. She met and married Kenneth Eugene Santmyer Jr. September 16, 1961. They were married until his passing in August 2010. They moved and raised their family in different parts of Oregon until finally settling in Tualatin Oregon. They have 4 daughters and 1 son. Shirley Rios, Linda Rose, Debbie Lang, Patricia Santmyer and Donnald Santmyer. Marie was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren, each one of them special to her in their own way. When asked what is the most important things about your life, her response was always FAMILY. Little did Marie know the numerous people she would encounter in her walk of life that considered her their family as well. On September 6, 2022 we found out she had stage 4 Small Cell Carcinoma. She spent the next year fighting this ugly disease and staying strong for her family. It was gods greatest gift to us to be able to have that year to make more memories with a wonderful woman we call MOM/GRANNY. Marie passed peacefully on September 11, 2023. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on Thursday September 21st, 2023 at 1:30 PM. Please arrive early to the cemetery early as they will guide you to the staging area and pavillion the service will take place at the day of.
