Sandra Cato Wood

Sandra 'Sandy' Cato Wood died May 20, 2015 surrounded by her family.

Sandy was the middle of three daughters born to Robert G. and Nancy (Foord) Cato (pre-deceased). Her father's job took the family to homes on both the West and East Coasts.

Sandy graduated from the University of Portland in 1981. She worked for KINK radio and G.M.A.C. in Portland, and most recently as a credit analyst for Toyota in Beaverton. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile, Nydia Temple.

Sandy married Stephen Wood on October 6, 1984. He pre-deceased her in 2005. Sandy is survived by her father Robert G. Cato, Beaverton, OR.; sisters Cheryl McDonald (Mike), Mead, WA. and Sharon Johnson (Mike Campbell), Montgomery City, MO.; nephews Jason (Vancouver, WA.) and Justin McDonald (Girdwood, AK.) and Matt Johnson (Ellensburg, WA.); niece Amy Queen (Jeremy), Ozark, MO.; great nieces Chloe and Zoe Queen, Ozark, MO.; and beloved pets 'Kirby' and 'Henry.'

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2:00p.m. at Young's Funeral Home, 11831 S.W. Pacific Hwy. in Tigard, OR.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland or the Oregon Humane Society.
