Steve was the oldest child of Jim and Marianna Doughty and is survived by his wife, Julia; brother, Gary; children, Sara, Jay, Jessica (Pearson) and Daniel; and grandchildren, Robert, Matthew, Samantha, Brendan, and Kara.
Some of Steve’s greatest memories were of spending time with relatives and friends at the lake cabin he and his family built.
Steve met his wife Julia while attending Eastern Washington University, and they married in 1966. While at EWU, Steve served in ROTC, and later served as Captain in the US Army.
Steve took pride in public service in his community, was a faithful Trailblazers fan from the beginning, and cheered on the Winterhawks for decades. Steve was a hard worker for 40-year career, before retiring in the mid 2010's.
Steve will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, generosity, and love for his community will continue to inspire.
