Teresa Marie Stefani Turner, a beloved, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on May 14, 2025, at the age of 73.
Teresa was born in The Dalles, OR on September 14, 1951, to parents Arthur and Dorothy Stefani. The second of four siblings, Teresa grew up in the tight-knit community of Ione, OR where she graduated high school in 1969. She went on to the University of Oregon where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 1973-a proud Duck through and through.
On September 4, 1971, Teresa married the love of her life, Jeffrey Turner, at Hope Lutheran Church in Heppner, OR. They settled in Eugene, OR where she worked as a Pharmacy Tech at Baker’s Pharmacy until they relocated to Beaverton, OR in 1979. They welcomed two sons, Benjamin, born on November 28th, 1980, and Zachary, born on October 1st, 1984. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her boys as a stay-at-home mom and building a meaningful and purposeful life centered around her family.
Teresa had a passion for music, cherished time with friends and family, and never missed a chance to cheer on her beloved Ducks. Her home was often open for large gatherings and special events as Teresa was known for her warm hospitality, vibrant personality, keen sense of humor, and was always the life of the party.
After 34 years of marriage, Teresa tragically lost husband Jeff to leukemia in 2005. With the boys grown up, Teresa found new purpose in serving others by becoming a caregiver, bringing comfort and empathy to those in need. She continued to offer love and unconditional support to her family and was so proud to become a grandmother to two beautiful granddaughters.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Dorothy Stefani, her husband Jeffrey Turner, and her brother Jerry Stefani. She is survived by her sons Zachary and Benjamin Turner, daughter-in-law Emily Turner, granddaughters Hadley and Zoey Turner, her sister Teena Stefani Fetterhoff, brother-in-law Stanley Fetterhoff, brother Dennis Stefani, a large extended family, and many friends. She will be remembered for the love she gave, the joy she shared, and the spirited way she lived her life.
A memorial service and reception will be held at Young’s Funeral Home on Friday, June 6th at 12:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at the Crescent Grove Cemetery, both in Tigard, OR.
