

Zachary Ryan Howard of Tigard, Oregon was born October 8, 1995 in California. He passed away at age 22 on Sunday July 22, 2018. Zach received a letter of commendation from President Barack Obama recognizing his outstanding volunteer efforts at the Beaverton Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. He was dual enrolled at Southridge High School and the auto shop program at Aloha High School. He had a passion for movies, the Oakland Raiders, and working on cars. He loved participating in high school theater. Everyone knew him as “The Wall” in Southridge’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He loved all music and his dance moves were legendary. Zachary held various jobs at Sears, Jugs Sports Inc. and Home Depot.
Zach had an incredible gift. He saw the silver lining in every situation and truly cared about people. His smile would light up the room. He gave the best bear hugs that were as big as his heart. Zachary was described as the sweetest, kindest and most generous person by everyone who met him. We were truly honored to be his family. He will be missed beyond measure.
Zach is survived by his parents Jana (Agee) and Greg Dalcher of Tigard and Robert Craig and Sharon Howard of Tracy, California; siblings Robert Casey Howard and wife Amanda, Kaela Howard, Andrew Dalcher, Sarah Howard, Ryan Howard; grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A private family service was held at Young’s Funeral Home on July 30, 2018.
