On Saturday, May 30, 2020, Angela M. Modo Dories, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and even great great grandmother, passed away peacefully at age 90. Angela was the last of the “Vincent Modo Clan”.
In her later years, she spoke of joining her parents and sisters who she missed very much. Now she is happy and with them; her parents, Vincent and Rosalie, along with her three brothers all named Benjamin (that is a story of its own), and five sisters, Mena, Sadie, Josie, Annie and Ida.
Though very modest, Angela was very proud of the incredible mother she was. She raised her three children Michael, Debbie and Linda on her own. She lived to see the marriage of each of her children. Angela even saw the births and enjoyed the company of her grandchildren Cindy, Michael, Ryan, Erol and her several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She used to say she mustn't have been lucky in love but she was loved so very much by her children for all of her sacrifices and love she showed over the years.
Angela enjoyed life and visited Hawaii, Israel, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Caribbean. After retiring, she became rather “crafty” making different crafts for yearly celebrations and holidays. Angela made at least one of everything for each of her three children, then worked tirelessly making crafts for the church Christmas Bazaar. She also supported the Senior Center by delivering Ice Cream for the members and helping to serve their lunch.
While Angela was able she enjoyed helping others and many people were touched by her support.
