Bea as she was affectionately known as attended Baltimore County Public Schools. She became a mother at an early age and held several jobs to support her daughter. Bea, was later employed at St. Paul’s School for Boys from 1986-2013 until she retired due to health issues. She was a member of the Rosa Pryor Scholarship Fund and also served as an Armor Bearer at Wilson Park CC Church were she loved attending.
Bea enjoyed traveling, playing cards, talking trash and gardening. She’d say, “it’s time to dig in my garden.” Most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews. She had a big heart and a personality to match. Bea will forever be missed by everyone especially her longtime companion Eugene Trusty.
Bea leaves to cherish her devoted daughter Tonie M. Guy, son-in-law Leonard Guy; grandson Joshua Guy; three sisters Judith Taybron, June Guy (Robert Guy), Marlene Cardwell (Ronald Cardwell); one brother Dennis Hairston; two aunts Sarah Smith, Carmelita Sterrett; three Godsons Brandon Pringle, Isaiah McMillan, Christian Ushery and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she has proceeded in death by her siblings Jesse Hairston, Emily Hairston-Pittman, Darlene Pringle, and Christine Smith.
The family will receive friends at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 am.
Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in Bea’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, Maryland 21093.
