On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Brendan Matthew Miller passed away. He was the beloved husband of 28 years to Joanna Miller nee Bell; devoted father of Riley McLain Miller (Ceren Dogan) and Ty Matthew Miller (Victoria Phelan-Graham); dear son of Kathleen Dobropolski, Michael Miller, and Susan Reier; brother of Keith Curley (Diana Curley), Nina Miller, and Jennifer Lowney (Jack Lowney); uncle of Madeleine Lowney and survived by many other loving family and friends.
Full of energy, heart, and an unmistakable love for life, Brendan was the kind of person who brought people together—whether through his famous cooking, his love of sports, or his unforgettable neighborhood firework displays. A true Baltimorean, he was a die-hard fan of the Orioles and Ravens and shared his passion through years of coaching youth baseball and football. He found joy in the simple things: big family parties, body surfing with his sons, summer crabbing trips, and vacations to Ocean City and Disney World. He was also a talented cook, well known for his sizzling fajitas, hearty chili, buffalo-garlic wings, perfectly seasoned crabcakes, and his much-anticipated corned beef paired with an Irish coffee every St. Patrick’s Day. Above all, he was a proud father of his two sons, whose lives he filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Surrounded by a wide circle of friends and loved by all who knew him, his legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and deep devotion to the people and moments that mattered most.
The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Friday, October 17 from 2 PM until 6 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Maryland ASPCA or the American Heart Association in Brendan’s honor.
