

D. Scott Hunter, Jr., a beloved and devoted individual, passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on May 19, 1939, in Maryland, Scott was known for his adventurous spirit, compassionate nature, and hard-working demeanor.
He was married to Sue Barker Hunter for 22 years, sharing a life filled with love and companionship; cherished father of Cherie A. Hunter, Karen S. Blair and her husband Dave, loving step-father of Jeffrey Clary and his wife Jodi and Jonathan Clary and his wife Laura; devoted grandfather of Reese and Jillian Blair, Emma Castilow and her husband Zach, Gavin, Tyler, Dylan, Ashley and Benjamin Clary. Donald is preceded in death by his first wife Kaye Hunter and his brothers Barry and Carroll Hunter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving friends.
Scott was a history teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools for over 20 years, where he became very well known for his dedication to education and his students. Scott cherished spending time with his family, enjoying activities such as drinking wine and traveling the world. He had a passion for model trains and was a skilled handyman. In addition to his personal interests, Scott was actively involved in his community. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and volunteered at Colonial Jamestown, contributing his time and effort to causes he cared deeply about.
Relatives and Friends are invited to gather at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc, located at 10 West Padonia Road, Timonium, MD 21093, on November 7, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, where a funeral service will take place at the same venue on November 8, 2025 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E Padonia Rd, Timonium, MD 21093
