He spent his last days surrounded by friends and with an outpouring of love and respect from all who knew him. After a teaching career at the Broadcast Institute of Maryland, David joined the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens as a cameraman. He was the beloved son of the late Elizabeth Norwood Smalley and Howard F. Smalley of Baltimore, Maryland and stepson of the late Lawrence Melvin Roberts of Baltimore, Maryland. He is survived by relatives in Spokane, Washington and a multitude of friends. Arrangements by Lemmon Funeral Home.
A celebration of David's life will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley Inc., 10 W Padonia Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093.
