Ms. Dorlene as my daughter Chelsey always called her was an angel on earth.  Yes, believe it she was God's angel sent on earth to spread God's love to everyone.  Ms. Dorlene help me with my daughter when she was unmanageable and difficut to manage at church.  Ms. Dorlene showed me that love can conquer anything and anybody no matter what their problems may be.  I will never ever forget her smile, love and compassion.  Even though she was a wife, mother and grandmother, she was always willing to share herself with others.

Dorian and Family-

I unfortunately did not have the privelege to meet your mom/wife but after the services I can assure you I know I missed out on knowing an extraordinary human being.

The eulogies were amazing and I felt like I was getting to know her more and more and I left feeling both glad and sad.  I was glad to know there are great people and Dorlene being one of them.  I was sad of course because she was taken way too soon.

Girls- the stories you told about your mom were wonderful.  She may not be here now but she left a legacy and wonderful memories.  I know I would have loved for my mom to turn on a popcorn maker and have all the kids catch it in their mouths.  I love telling that story and people laugh and say she must have been a great mom.  I tell them she was and her girls loved her as much as she loved them.

I am still thinking about you all and wanted to let you know what you already know- your mom was in a league of her own.

I never met Dorlene, but Jessica Pustejovsky is one of my favorite people.  I know from talking with Jess that Dorlene was well-loved and admired. She gave of herself to others and was a faithful servant to our God.  I have prayed for Dorlene and the extended family many times.  May God's grace and peace be with you.

Galatians 5:6 The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.  That sums Dorlene up to us.  We met Tom and Dorlene in the new members class of Belvedere Baptist Church, a Spirit filled church.  And Dorlene was filled with the Spirit even then(30 years ago). She was a former Pioneer Girl and Leader.  Their motto being Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. That word was her guide.

    She was a friend through our losses and griefs (our daughter Allison) and our joys (Christmas tree hunts). Although dainty and sweet, we remember her irreverent sense of humor and her formidable strength in spiritual battle. She kept the faith in the vision God gave her and she called Him-Father!

    She said that she didnt really date too much, because no one treated her as well as Tom.  And that he did until the day she died. May that love keep you warm, Tom.

    Dorian, Joanna and Paige;  Your mother gave you middle names which ironically suggest the things you would need most. She also always said that she knew that God gave her the Children she was meant to have.  Dorian your Faith has grown and it has been tried in the fire and you have come out as gold.  Joanna and Paige, I was very familiar with Psalm 118, which your mother had claimed for healing, because we had been praying for Joy and Victory for you for awhile.  Joanna and Paige, let His word have its way in you and your mother's vision for your lives will come to pass.
   We did not think of Dorlene primarily as a teacher, but she was  She taught Pioneer Girls, Missionettes, Sunday School, VBS

Ms. Dorlene:  Thank you for being a wonderful friend to my Mother over the years.  You have touched her life significantly through your faith and love.  You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

I will miss you very much! You were my almost mother!

It has been my honor to be a prayer partner with Babe for about 4 years.  We have danced and prayed and praised.  I know she danced with Jesus and is dancing with Him now.  I love the way she loved and worked with young girls; they were a joy to her heart.  I will miss her and cherish my memories and pictures.  My love to the family.

Dorian (and family), I was so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I share in your sorrow. I know your Mom fought hard. Please have comfort in knowing she is now at peace. 
Don't we wish we could hold on to our loved ones forever?  However, her job is done here and God has better plans for her new life in Heaven. May she rest in peace in the presence of our Lord.

I did not know your mom but I know you and I can without a doubt say she was an extraordinary person.  I know she was a fighter and she put up a tough battle.

I also know you were there for her throughout her fight and she could not have done it without you- she knew you were there and I know that meant the world to her.

I know you are a fighter and will get through this difficult time.  It may take a long time but you will at some point remember the good things.
