Unexpectedly at home on May 16, 2021 DOROTHEA ELAINE MYERS; devoted mother of Sean E. Heegan and his wife Sarah, Brendan Patrick Heegan and the late Bryan Kip Webb and Dana Lee Church; cherished grandmother of Declan and Margaret Heegan, Ryan and Stephen Songy, Bennet, Konner, Delaney and Alexandra Webb.
Born in Ridgeway, PA., to Elwood and Dorothea Myers, Dorothea “Dottie” grew up in the Hampden section of Baltimore City. A self-made woman with a great work ethic, she had accomplished much by the end of her career as a settlement officer.
Dottie was very artistic, she enjoyed painting and was always busy around her home and garden with DIY projects, and ALWAYS had a project going on…
Dottie enjoyed dining out and loved trying new restaurants, however during the summer months with its hot weather, which she loved, she enjoyed trips to Maryland’s Eastern Shore and the Chesapeake Bay. Wherever she was, Dottie always enjoyed a good lobster roll or crab cake and these were usually paired with glass of Riesling or an Orange Crush.
