I first met Eileen in 1977 when she and her family moved across the street from us. Soon my daughter and her youngest daughter became fast friends.
Eileen and I spend many happy times sitting on my front porch sipping iced tea or other beverages and chatting. We supported each other through several life challenges.
After she moved to Loveton and particularly after the tragic death of her oldest daughter, we lost touch with each other for awhile. But two baby showers brought us back together.
When Eileen became ill last Spring, I started visiting her on a regular basis. Our friendship renewed, we had high hopes that we would have more time together, but it was not to be.
Rest In Peace Eileen. You were a good and true friend.

When our daughters were young and attending Montessori. Eileen and I shared many a day and school event. I was in Adminstration and Eileen was a very dedicated volunteer. My Jennifer and her girls were friends. Eileen’s smile was contagious. Her beautiful accent adored and admired. Eileen agreed to record the outgoing message for the school’s telephone. It was lovely and inviting to all of us and future parents of Montessori. Rest In Peace my friend. God bless your girls and their families.

Eileen was a special lady, full of life and love especially for her family. We met 5 years ago at IHop when she struck up a conversation with Leo, a WW II vet I was with. He loved her british accent and they spoke of the old singers and often sung out loud to the amusement of the patrons and staff. He so enjoyed their conversations. She brightened up his day as she did with all who met her. No one was a stranger. It was a privledge to call her friend. I am so glad I was able to take her out a few times.
You will be missed Eileen. God speed and may you and Leo continue to share memories and watch over us left here below.
