Mom,  miss you so very much.  I know you were happy to go be with Holly. She must have been so excited to see you. I remember the dinners she use to make us and the mess she use to leave us. Funny how those little things stick in your mind. You will be cherished forever in my heart. I love you. Just want to know what happened to the " 3 knocks" Still waiting................

I was very privileged to be considered grandma Esther's granddaughter even though I wasn't by birth. It never seemed that way though! She treated me with so much love and acceptance! I loved listening to her talk about so many topics..especially birds and other living things. I enjoyed playing scrabble with her online and in person very much, and I knew I had to be careful because NOTHING got by her! I will truly treasure the many things she gave me that she painted, which are truly fine art! And most of all I will miss her wonderful spirit, I will always carry that with me. I know all my kids felt the same way too! I am happy you are at peace now and I will miss you and love you very much!

Estie left footprints no one else could fill. The Sullivan's spent most holidays with the Peterson's and a lot of those included Ester. My memories are wonderful but I have to say, the word SCRABBLE comes to mind. Ester raised such beautiful women and I do thank her for sharing her many talents with them as Laura was my mentor, always. May God give the family the gift of peace and memories of a truly unique lady. Ester lives on in so many people's lives. Always in our heart. The Sullivan's ❤❤❤

Those Christmas Eves! Driving to Baltimore and all the fun we had. It was always an exciting adventure that made Christmas even more fun.

My sweet Grandma...I have so many memories and they bring great joy to my heart.  You were one of a kind!  I loved that you never wanted us to call your "Grandma", only Esther!  I loved the memory of you putting your feet in the bucket during our rafting trip because you did not want to get your new moccasins wet!  I loved the fact you stayed out later than I did when we went to the NFR in Vegas!  I loved your artistic flare you added to everything.  I loved your "say it how it is" approach to life. The list could go on for pages...I am however, incredibly grateful of the mother you gave me.  I see your reflection in her, and I can only hope,Hattie and Augie will see her reflection in me...you are amazing women.  I love you, Esther!

I never spent much time with Esther, but I can tell you that after spending time with her family she was a strong, talented, loving Mom, Grandma,Sister, friend and whatever other hats she wore.  Our family sends their love to the ones Esther has left behind and hope they all take comfort in the loving memories they have of the special woman who is now at peace with God.

When I remember Aunt Esther it is always with  laughter and smiles. I have wonderful memories of the  Best Christmas Eves ever at Her house. Hot summer weekends spent swimming and crabbing off the pier with the cousins. I remember spending a summer living with Aunt Esther, Uncle Jack, Laura and Brenda, it was the year I went to the "city" to go to camp. That was also the summer Aunt Esther introduced me to Tasty Cakes. A giant culinary discovery for a 12 year old. She also shared some wonderful  theories on eating and health. Her "filling in the cracks" theory  to this day makes perfect sense to anyone who still believes the BufferinTablets pass through the turnstile on the way to your stomach. Aunt Esther and Aunt Mary were always glamorous. I loved trying on all of Aunt Esther's wrap around earrings. I felt so grown up. I can only imagine what heaven is like at this moment, with Aunt Esther, Grandma Ruby and Daddy. (The trifecta of loud) , all talking at once. St Peter must be looking for ear plugs. We are all so very lucky to have these memories. Aunt Esther has left us with a wonderful gift. I will miss her very much. Denise

So many memories, I would not know where to start. I had a wonderful childhood thanks to my loving mom.  I am who I am today because of her.  She will be missed but always in my heart surrounded by love.

I have so many found memories of Aunt Esther, Aunt Mary and Grandma Ruby. It's hard to think of one without the others. All the Christmas Eves we spent at Grandma Ruby's were magical. Summer Sundays spent swimming with our cousins in Edgewater. Esther,Ruby and my dad, together again, can you just imagine. If we listen hard enough, we can probably hear them all the way down here. I have to say that's a great photo! I'll remember big hair and big heart. You made family Christmas Eve parties more lively.

I laugh when I remember how you wanted us to call you "Esther" because "Grandma" made you feel old.  You were one tough cookie and I so admire your tenacity.  You and Grandma Ruby are the matriarchs of some very fine strong women and we are forever grateful for that legacy.

I hope you find some worthy Scrabble opponents in heaven!  Love you Gram.
