My (step) grandfather Albert was married to Evelyn in the late 1980s.   He was so incredibly blessed to have Evelyn in his life.   She remembered my family in all occasions, even though we were 1,000 miles away.   In the few times I was graced to visit with Evelyn in person, she was a lovely woman, who sincerely loved her Lord and her family.    The world needs more Evelyn's.   She is truly missed.    My mother Connie and I send our heartfelt regards.    This has been a difficult year for us, too, as we lost Albert's son, Gary, my loving Dad, on November 1.     Evelyn's family ... Much love to you all.    

EVELYN WAS THE ONLY LIVING MEMBER OF THE FIRST GRADUATING CLASS OF THE SHRINE OF THE LITTLE FLOWER SCHOOL.  THE SCHOOL OPENED IN 1926 AND EVELYN WAS IN THAT CLASS.
I SPOKE TO HER EARLY THIS YEAR AND SHE DONATED TOWARD A FUND RAISER THAT THE ALUMNI WAS HOLDING ON BEHALF OF THE PARISH
AS A MEMBER OF THE ALUMNI, IT IS CUSTOMARY FOR US TO HAVE A MASS SAID AND A CARD SENT TO A RELATIVE.

I worked with Evelyn the last few years at Stella Maris.  I was amazed by her.  She worked hard and was much smarter than anyone else I know in her age category.  She was friendly and kind and I will miss her.  

I had the pleasure of knowing Evelyn for most of my life, since Mary Jo and I were in school together. She was a spirited, strong and kind woman who loved her family very much. May she Rest In Peace.

Evelyn was a dear lady and truly a real lady;  she aways dressed well even when she was old and probably tired as after years of being a night nurse she had insomnia.    She was an extremely hard worker,   dedicated to helping her neighbors and friends especially when they were dying.   She was a caretaker for her own husband for many years.   She was very close and happy with her family although she was also independent.    She had acquired wisdom, compassion, and strong belief in her church and Lord.   I will miss her!

I had the pleasure of meeting Evelyn in the last weeks of her life.  She will remain a feisty, spirited lady in my memory.
