Our fondest memories of George were at the Circle of Friends gatherings.  He was a mentor and a father figure to many.  His outlook on life was always upbeat and he made us feel good even when we were struggling.  We will always remember his smile and soft words.  He was like a shining light to many. I worked with George at GBMC Spiritual Support Team for 3 years.  I found him to be a compassionate, responsible, encouraging person.  I never forgot his conversations on travel. I am so sorry to learn of George's sudden death.  He was my grief counselor through Gilchrist after the suddent death of my own husband, and his facilitation of our group discussions and sharing of his own experiences with the loss of your daughter were immensely helpful to me. I am deeply saddened by the loss of my good friend and colleague George. We worked together at Westinghouse for many years, and a finer gentleman, loving husband and father would be hard to find. George was friendly, helpful and always looking on the positive side of life. My sincere condolences to his loving wife Gloria and devoted son Stephen.

It was very sad to hear about George.  I knew him from his early days on the Johns Hopkins Award program.  Later we worked closely together in ILSD engineering at Westinghouse Hunt Valley.  He was an excellent public speaker, a good planner, gregarious by nature, and a fine person in every way.  I extend my sympathy to his family.

Gloria,  I was a classmate of Georges when we were both attending Poly.  We were in the "A" Course and students then were seated in alphabetic order.  George Alexander Mohr, Jr was always seated directly across the aisle from me so I got to know him better than most of my other classmates. I truly admired him, the only negative was that he earned better grades than I did and sitting across the aisle, he could easily prove it. Never saw him again until 51 years later when I happened to park next to him at Sherwood Episcopal Church, during a funeral for Ed Dotson. I believe that you were there too. Then, I admired him even more for recognizing me after all those years.  God's blessing and peace be with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met George when I began my chaplaincy internship at GBMC 2 years ago. He was so welcoming, gracious, and kind. Most recently, he helped my sister through a very difficult time through his grief support ministry at Gilchrist. I am so grateful that she could benefit from his leadership, for all other people that he helped in this way over the past years, and for the spiritual support that he provided to patients at GBMC. I pray that God's loving presence will be of comfort to you at this sad time.
