She and Bud were active in the Jaycees and Baltimore County, State and US politics, living out their community convictions for many years. They loved skiing and vacationing at the beach. Over the years they owned homes in Ocean City and then Bethany Beach in Delaware. Izzy also expressed herself and talents as an excellent seamstress, an accomplished potter, and a great decorator, with a love and eye for mid-century modern style. She once completely transformed the landscaping of her Bethany back yard into a gorgeous wedding venue for a granddaughter as a surprise. In her later years she became an enthusiastic fan of the Washington Capitals.
Over the last 15 plus years Izzy has been devoted to St James Episcopal Church in Monkton, Maryland.
