Jane M. Shaffer

Jane M. Shaffer, 95, passed away on April 15, 2026; loving wife for 64 years to the late Rev. Robert K. Shaffer, 88; beloved mother of Eric M. Shaffer and his wife Maria Elena, R. Kent Shaffer, and Steven J. Shaffer and his wife Geralyn; cherished grandmother of Maia K. DeBaugh (Chris), Remy L. Gomes (Casey), Anika L. Neverosky (Mark), Brianna L. VanDine (Kim), Perry S. Shaffer, and Stephanie M. Shaffer (Dylan) and great grandmother of Lucy DeBaugh and Cecelia DeBaugh, Bailey Gomes, Eliana Gomes, Raul Neverosky, Dylan Neverosky, Sophia VanDine and Paxton VanDine, and; dear sister of the late Ann Hoge; also survived by many adoring Nieces and Nephews of the Hoge family.

Jane’s family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the exceptional care provided to Mrs. Shaffer. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Robert Donegan and the staff at GBMC, the team at Wound Care at GBMC, Gilchrist Hospice, the team at Hopkins Care at Home, and Rebecca McDevitt, CRNP, at GBMC Health Partners at Texas Station. The family also shares a heartfelt thank you to her dedicated caregivers, Melissa Swain and Armani, for their compassion and support.

A funeral service to celebrate Jane's life will be held at Havenwood Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Ridgley Road, Lutherville, Maryland 21093 on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in Mrs. Jane’s memory to Havenwood Presbyterian Church at the above address and/or Baltimore County Public Library 320 York Road, Towson, Maryland 21204. Checks should be made payable to Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library.
