As I try to adjust to not having my big sister with me any longer, I look back on some important steps in our lives. Janet was always the protector especially when we were in foster homes. She always felt the need to make sure both Allen and myself were ok. As we grew older she pushed me to go to school, always telling me I was the smart one. That idea continued even after she married Tommy encouraging me to continue on to college. Her encouragement was wide spread not only to me, but to her children and their friends as well. It is a testament to her to see how well her children and grandchildren have turned out. So much for me being the smart one. Janet always put her family first, always going and doing for them. Diane and I decided it would be fun to take her on a cruise ship to the Bahamas. She lit up like a spot light enjoying the whole experience especially the slot machines (always playing the one called Rose). We had wonderful visits when she came to South Carolina, boating swimming, and eating. I'll miss that forever. Even though we were miles apart physically, we were always close emotionally. We will all miss her, but I feel a real sense of loss.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing.  Like many of the Gateview kids, I have fond memories of the Bond family.  Mr and Mrs Bond were always loving and very welcoming in their home.  May God comfort the family in their loss.  I can see Mr. and Mrs Bond dancing on the Royal Dance floor.

Although it's been many years, as a neighbor and friend of David's, I have wonderful memories of my times with the Bond Family. I also consider myself one of the many that Mrs Bond was a second mother to. A kind, generous and loving person. My deepest sympathies to the family.

To the Bond Family,

Nan was indeed a second mom to so many over the years, myself included.  The fond memories were many, whether it be the bmx track, the bowling alley, or at home watching sporting events on the big screen!  Nan added the spice that always became the life of the party.  My kids and I will miss her dearly but her spirit lives on as she will continue to bring a smile to all of our faces with each and every thought of her...

I grew up in the same neighborhood as the Bond family.  Mr and Mrs Bond were the nicest people and made everyone feel welcome and part of their family.I have the fondest memories of them.Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Bond family ... I am so sorry to learn of the death of your loved one.  God will hold your hands, he will comfort you when you need it.  Continue to rely on him for anything you need.

Dear Bond Family, I cannot express in words how sorry I am for your loss. Your mom, grandma was a great person. She treated me like she was my second mom. Driving us to the BMX track, movies, Ocean City and countless other places. I always thought of her as Momma Bond. My childhood would not have been the same if I had not spent so much time around the Bond house. I am sure my love of bikes would not have grown so strong if she had not been there to take us to the track at Oregon Ridge, Millersville, etc.... We will all miss you  Momma Bond. May you find peace and love knowing you did a great job raising not only your kids but a whole bunch of us other kids who hung around the neighborhood.

I am very sorry for your loss. Please except my condolences. Losing a loved one in death is very difficult but relying on the almighty God will help you get through it.  Draw comfort from God's Word the Bible.  And throw your burdens on God through prayer.
