Jase lived a life defined by following his heart and trusting that each moment had something beautiful to offer. Growing up and building a life in Maryland, he graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a degree in Kinesiology, a reflection of his curiosity about the human body and his appreciation for movement, connection, and growth. His curiosity and knack for teaching and making complex concepts simple and accessible led him to work in multiple fields including the automotive industry, healthcare consulting, and fintech.
To know Jase was to experience someone who had a zest for life that could last several lifetimes. He often said he lived his life with the inquisitiveness “of a 5-year-old,” meaning he approached everything with openness, curiosity, and humility, believing every experience was a chance to learn and evolve. He embraced both the easy and the difficult paths, often joking that he liked to “push the hard button,” but always doing so with intention, resilience, and a sense of adventure.
Jase’s greatest legacy is the way he loved. His partner, Emily, was the center of his world, but his love extended just as deeply to his family, his friends, and the chosen family he built along the way. He made people feel seen, accepted, and safe, never asking anyone to be anything other than exactly who they were. Being loved by Jase meant being fully embraced, without judgment or condition. He had a rare gift for connection. While he could light up any room, his favorite moments were often the quiet, one-on-one conversations, where he listened intently and cared deeply, making every person feel they truly mattered. Jase also found joy in creating spaces for others. When he and Emily bought their home, he poured his heart into designing their basement—a place filled with music, laughter, and warmth. It eventually became more than just a room. It became a sanctuary where friends and family could gather, be themselves, and feel at home.
Jase’s life was a balance of comfort and adventure. On some days, his perfect happiness was simple: wrapped in a green blanket watching his favorite show indulging in late night sweets consisting of a variety of cosmo brownies, mango Hi-Chews, giant honey buns, and Welch’s fruit gummies. On other days, he chased the thrill of the moment, blasting music driving winding back roads with his brothers, dressing up to go dancing for hours with friends, or taking spontaneous trips that turned into unforgettable memories marked by Philly cheesesteaks and glowsticks. If you ever needed a wingman, advice, or just someone to show up, Jase was there. With his eager face lighting up performances, graduations, birthday parties, get-togethers and meals, Jase was endlessly generous with his time. No matter the setting, his laughter—full, loud, and contagious—was always at the center of it.
Music was another one of Jase’s greatest passions. He loved anything that made him feel like he could fully immerse himself in the moment. He shared this love with family and friends at concerts, karaoke sessions with his nieces and nephews, and car playlists, bonding over songs that captured different pieces of their lives. In recent years, he taught himself how to DJ, creating vibrant, energetic mixes that brought people together, culminating in a private set on The Groove Cruise that those who were there will never forget. Jase didn’t just live—he experienced life in its fullest form. His impact cannot be measured in time, but in the countless lives he touched, the spaces he filled with laughter, and the people who will carry his love forward, openly, courageously, and endlessly.
Jason is survived by his mother and father (Zeny and Lody), his two brothers (Chris and Jeremy), his devoted partner Emily, his sister-in-laws (Angie and Galia), his nieces and nephews (Amber, Aly, Lexi, Tristan, Cameron, Jackson, Zoey, Quinn, Parker, Phoebe, and Arlo), his great nephew (Jamie), and a vast and deeply connected community of friends who were lucky enough to call him family.
